Dr. Karen Hinkle

Karen Hinkle started at Norwich as a Biology faculty member in 2003 and became the Associate Provost for Research and Chief Research Officer in 2017. She holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Michigan. Her research interests involve investigating novel protein interactions and modifications that occur downstream of growth factor signaling. She’s mentored over 30 students in undergraduate research projects through the years. Karen is excited to support faculty and student scholarship and creative endeavors across all disciplines at Norwich University.


Dr. Mina Peshavaria

Slide1Mina joined Norwich in 2016 as the Director of Sponsored Programs. Before joining Norwich University, she worked part time as a grants manager with the Vermont Genetics Network at UVM. She was also a principal investigator in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at UVM between 2001-2012. As a director of SP, she will support and advise faculty members at Norwich in securing external support for sponsored projects and collaborations, and together with Dave Westerman, provide pre- and post-award services related to proposals and awards.


Mrs. Cristy Boarman

Cristy obtained a BS in Computer Science as well as an AAS in Technology through Eastern Kentucky University in 2009. worked at Eastern Kentucky University with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for 11 years as the Administrative Assistant I.  She also served as both Building Supervisor and Safety Coordinator. She currently works full time as the Administrative Assistant in the Office of Academic Research and is a business partner of Next Generation Appalachian STEM, Inc., LLC.
