Norwich annually conducts a summer school open to all students. There is a two-week early session that is devoted to special field courses. There are two, five-week sessions, and a number of distance learning opportunities are available.
On campus the summer school features small classes in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere and a wide range of credit-bearing courses. Daily contact with the course instructor, together with a total focus on academic activities, can enable students to earn better grades and to improve their research and study skills.
Distance learning courses enable a student to be located at home or anywhere else there is access to the internet via computer. Distance learning courses are taught exclusively on the computer in specially designed “classrooms” where students are instructed by a Norwich University professor. Students who are self-motivated do well with this method of instruction.
Summer students commonly comment that they enjoy their courses and gain satisfaction and confidence from the summer school experience
